Yeah Me!!!
So my New Years Resolution was to be in my size 7 jeans before my birthday in March. Well today, I officially started wearing them!!! Yeah!!! They are a tiny bit tight, but not so tight they shouldn't be seen in public (like they were the end of last year). I still would like to lose my saddle bags and love handles my dear son gave to me, but they'll come. I'm almost over this stupid cold. So I can start hitting the gym next week after work again. But geez! If anyone tells you that you can loose your baby weight in a matter of 6 months, they are smoking weed! So mine took me almost 2 years to lose (and I doubt I'll be to my pre-pregnancy weight before my birthday, but we can hope). But then again, my son gifted me with 70lbs!!! Wowzers!! But I'm proud of myself since I can see how large I was from pics of the past two years. Keep rooting for me!!

Boredom....
So since Carver got me sick, I've been spending a bit of time on the couch. I was thumbing through the channels and found America's Best Dance Crew. Wow, they are awesome. But there's one group in particular, Dynamic Edition, that are amazing. They are a group of kids from Alabama that clog. They are super good!!! So I'm rooting for the underdog. Guess I'll have to keep watching it to see how they do.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!
Urgh!!! The next on my top ten nemesis....mud!!!! It started raining today and melting the snow. Now I have half ice skating rinks and mud in the pasture. I wish we could skip mud season all together. Oh, well. Guess I'm quite stylish in mud boots. What can I say, I know how to rock them!!! Hahaha!!! But my minis can only sink so far before they are lost in the mud pit.

Urgh!!! Sick kid!!!
So Carver woke from his nap on Sunday with a fever (he took a 3.5 hour nap. So I knew something was up). Well he had a fever of 102F. And the rest of that night, he was coughing. So Monday and Tuesday, Mike stayed home to watch him. I just started my day (and the rest of the week) watching him. All I can say is gross! Its amazing the amount of snot that comes out of a sick kid. Plus the coughing. We're both trying to avoid getting sick. So we're trying to teach him to cover his mouth while he coughs. No such luck really. But hopefully we're nearing the end of it. Carver feels good and plays. Just doesn't do too well in the nose area.

I've Been Tagged!!!
Okay, so my sweet sister decided to tag me. I'm suppose to list 5 things that keep my mind and body balanced. So here goes:
1. Having Mike and Carver home. Nothing like having those two around to keep things bumping. Hard to have an adult conversation with a toddler, let alone get anything done. So its nice to have Mike home. I can have a conversation with him and leave to actually get things accomplished. But without Carver, I'd be without things to do (not!!!). :)
2. My ponies. They are the biggest stress reliever around. Nothing like going out to the barn and just petting horses to bring stress levels down. Plus I love training them and then taking them to shows to win ribbons. Those blue ribbons really prove how much I've accomplished.
3. Books. I love reading. Murder mystery romances are my favorite. I can curl up on the couch and just enjoy a good thriller and not leave the confines of my home.
4. Friends. I love my friends. I don't have many, but I keep the ones I have close. A good day of girl talk or any talk for that matter, is just great!!! I sure do miss my two college friends, Jenn and Jennika. Lunch just never is the same without you gals!!!
5. A place to call home. I think we're finally at that point in our lives where we can actually call this house our home. We were at two other houses, but there was always a looming decision as to where we will live and for how long. I think Mike is happy to be where he is working now. So we can put down some roots and just enjoy life.

Yeah!!! Another Project Down!!!
My new stall: The new pile of crap from the pigeon coop:
Woohoo!!! The pigeon coop is finally down!! I started on it last week, but got stuck when 4 stripped screws were keeping me from progressing. So I asked Mike to bring his sawzall out and take care of them. So he did and I started one by one unscrewing more screws to take down boards. Well, Mike decided that would take too long, so he started hanging from the rafters and kicking the pen down. Wish I had the camera because it was quite a sight. But needless to say, Mike ripped the rest of the pen down in a matter of minutes. Guess this is one case where Brawns over Brains works better. Hahahaha!!! Here is the new picture of my empty stall (which still needs to be disinfected) and the (once again) large pile of junk this pigeon coop created.

House work!!!
Is there ever an end to house work??? I swear I clean something and then turn around and its dirty again!!! I know most of you women feel just like I do. And of course my nemisis...Laundry!! I can wash clothes all day, but when it comes to putting them up, I see how much clothes my laundry basket can hold. Is that bad of me?? But here's a picture after Carver comes through a just cleaned room. I swear to you, I cleaned this room last night. And within minutes, it looks like this. Gotta love kids! :)

Duck Hunting AGAIN
Well Mike went duck hunting again today. He said he did not have quite as much luck as a couple of days ago. But they did get a few birds. Once in awhile diving birds will try to elude the dog by diving under water as the dog approaches. Most dogs will get frustrated and just quit. Mike said that when Bronc got close to the bird he would dive under water and retrieve it.
Mike said it will probably be his last time out for the season as he has a busy upcoming work week (believe it when I see it) and the duck hunt ends in a week.
Bronc did really good this year. He retrieved approximately 75 birds this season.

Bear River Duck Hunt
Mike and his friend Matt hunted the Bear River this morning. They shot there limit by 11 am. They had alot of fun. Bronc was completely warn out by the time they were done. He had never hunted the icy rivers and did really good. During the first few retrieves the ice ledges scared him, but he adapted quickly and was able to retrive 14 ducks.

A Student Again??
Okay, so I'm officially enrolled in college again. But nothing too hard. I'm taking a website design course up at the Bridgerland Applied Technology college. I want to learn how to design and take care of my own website for my minis. The offer a second, more advanced course, this fall. Then I think I'll take a photoshop editing course the following spring. So I'll be in school again. But, okay, its not that bad. As this course I'm currently taking is mondays and wednedays 6-9pm from jan-mid march. So I'm a part time student. Heehee!

Cute Picture...
Wow!
Carver Christmas 2007:
Carver Christmas 2008:
All I can say is Wow! I finally got a desk for my craft room and decided to pull out the scrapbook stuff and catch up on Carver's book. I, of course, was so far behind that I made it up to Thanksgiving 2007. So I started on Christmas of last year. Wow! Its hard to believe he was only crawling then. Seems like he has been walking forever! Its amazing to see how much children can change in a year! Here are pics of Carver from the two different Christmas'. Notice he has a thing for toy horses! :)

My next Project.....
The loft:
The stall size pigeon coop:
The stall size pigeon coop:
So this is a stall size pigeon coop built into my barn. What a mess! I started ripping it down earlier this summer, but wearing a face mask in 100 degree weather sucked. So I quit, but did manage to get the front and some of the floor up. Then with the other house remodels, its been sitting. So yesterday, I started ripping this down again. It has 10 billion screws that each have to be individually screwed out. I'm pretty sure after this is done, I'll have enough screws to build a house! And our loft looks just like this, except there are about 10 different coops. What a mess! I can officially say, I hate pigeons!!!
