So we finally got around to building Carver's playset. We ended up buying a kit rather than finishing off the starter kit we purchased last year. Carver helped Mike build it. He was super excited. Put in that rubber chips under most of it and then a sand box at the end of the slide. We'll xeroscape around the playset and add in a grove of quakes between the slide and the dogs for more added shade. Carver has been loving it.

Blackfoot Show
This is one of my favorite shows every year held in Blackfoot, ID. I just took my 2 boys and life was pretty simple (compared to the show scene with 4-5 horses). I helped a friend show some of his for a client and just had fun. :) Bugs did well. He really put on a show for liberty. Won his liberty class with 3 horses in it. Took his halter division and came back to win 2 supreme championships in the shetland division. I'm pretty proud to own this pony as I've done all his training. He did quite nicely in driving this time around. Paul was his usual wonderful self. We were the only show pony there. So, of course, won all our divisions. He's just a blast to take out in the ring.

Yes...I did manage a domestic duty.....
Meet Gus-Gus
We had this little black kitten show up at our place on the night of the 4th. He was skinny and a bit sick. But Carver has diligently fed him morning and night. He's turned out to be quite happy and content to stay in our barn. Can always use another barn cat out here with all our mice. Neeley does a pretty good job on her own, but think of all the mice those 2 can catch. :)
