Zions National Park

We went out with friends to Zions and spent the weekend in St. George. Had fun. Rained on us Saturday, but we made it to Zions on Sunday. Beautiful place. Kids seemed to enjoy themselves.

And yes....I'm WAY behind on posts. Hopefully I'll catch up. :)

In Loving Memory

We lost Bugs in a tragic accident on Nov 15th. His loss has hit me hard as he was my favorite horse. One of those mischevious horses that could do no wrong in my eyes. We finished his halter hall of fame this year. As a great friend told me, Bugs was a pony with a lot left to give. He will forever be in my heart and on my mind.

Thinking of Hiring Him Out....

We painted a couple rooms one weekend. This yellow room is Carver's toy room. Nice and bright. But Carver loved helping out with a "his" size roller....

Barn Improvement

So we've both been working on home improvement projects. Mike did this to my barn and outside of the tack room. Looks so nice! Got a green star to put on the left side of the barn. I think it just needs the added touch of a weathervane. Mike has also sided the two sheds together to make them look like 1 unit. I've painted our bedroom and Carver's toy room. Just finished painting our front door. Got a whole list of honey do's to do still! :D

Riding Lessons...

Let the riding lessons begin. Here's Carver on his pony Rocky learning to ride/control the horse himself. He did great and Rocky is definately a trooper! This horse is priceless!!!

And I have tons more blogs, but my main computer is out of commission and in the repair shop (dang virus!!!). So when it gets going again, I'll blog more. Got this pic from my phone. :)

Pool Party!

Carver's Cousin Parker turned 5 on the first. He had a pool party at Surf N' Swim. Carver being his usual self, was afraid of trying new things. Good thing Aunt Crystal was there to help him brave the wave times on a tube! He had fun in the end.

The Living Planet Aquarium

We went down to South Jordan to the Living Planet Aquarium. They have a ton of neat stuff. The penquins were fun to watch play. Of course, the favorite is the sea horses. But lots of cool sea animals there as well as an area with just Utah aquatics. The Electric Eel was cool as they had a sound guage hooked up to his aquarium that went off when he omitted electricity. Disclaimer: These pics were all taken off my camera on my phone. Not the best quality. :P

Fair Fun....

We went to the Box Elder County fair last weekend. Carver has a blast on their rides every time. :)

Carver has upgraded to washing bikes and pony carts. :)

My new Tack Room Front...

Mike finished off the front of my tack room in the barn. It was all a bunch of exposed beams. So he surprised me one day and finished it off. Looks super nice! I have a lime green door that will go on it also.

Our First Stitches

So we've finally hit that big mark in childhood. Carver was dinking around while I was cleaning out the tack room of the horse trailer. He was jumping on stuff I told him not to and I soon as I did that, he fell into the runningboard of the horse trailer. Needless to say, the trailer won. Carver got a couple deep stitches and then 7 surface stitches. His has since then gotten the stitches out and its healing nicely (amazing how fast the body heals). But this was a lesson of No more monkeys jumping on the bed. :P The ER treated him good and he came home with tons of goodies.

Rodeo Night....

We love attending the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo every year. Its just a fun rodeo. :)

Horse Shows....

We've been to about 5 horse shows since I last posted. Its been a busy summer and I'm trying to catch up. Here are a few snap shots. My horses did really well. Bugs earned his HOF in MP halter (an accumulation of several points and wins. Takes a lot to earn them). So we were proud of that. Carver has been having fun. He has been showing Chase and I got him a pony that has a perfect personality to be a youth horse. So he's been getting use to working with him. They will start riding lessons here soon so that they can do riding classes at the shows together. :)
